Hey Everybody, Mugatu's a Dick

But law professor Harold Koh isn't. I've been quite ashamed and angry that the only prominent Korean-American lawyer I'd been hearing about in the news is a leading proponent of dictator-like powers for the president and of torture as an interrogation technique. After reading about Harold Koh, I can trust that there are lots of us who can counter Yoo's negative impact. Here is Koh's essay on freedom from the "This I Believe" series. (NPR)

A little more background on Yoo's torture memos and some responses to it including Koh's (Natl. Lawyer's Guild)

Incidentally, Yoo studied under Harold Koh at Yale. It's sort of like Obi-Wan and Darth Vader.
