It's when I see stats like these that I know that tort reform is just a way for large corporations to keep pesky consumers from asserting any power over them. Corporations use litigation much more prolifically and frivolously than an old lady who might sue for spilling hot coffee on herself.
Funny that libertarians say courts are the solution not regulations and then turn around and call for tort reform to prevent so-called frivolous lawsuits by consumers.
